"21"

Im currently in the final stages of my project "21", a body of images that portray the stereotypical stages and life experiences of your average 21 year old female.

Its hard being 21, if your anything like i am it has all happened over the last year.. University, work, deciding what you want to be, where you want to be and most importantly who you want to be.
Being subjected to so many different types of people over the last year has made me question who i am. who am i? am i crazy? am i a party finder? am i chilled and relaxed? am i serene and at one with myself? or am i both? can you be both? these are all questions that I am sure I'm not the only 21 year old has asked themselves.
This project explores three main aspects of my personality that are fragmentations of self.
first Sex and love, the next beliefs and morality and the third my future and prospects.

I hope you like what i came up with.

Ishop

As my second to last project towards my degree I worked on a rebranding project bringing back the "spice up your life" white platforms (originals from the 90s) reinventing them with an array of different outfits styled by ASOS upcoming collection! Here are a few of the images I made modelled by the gorgeous Beck Ward.

Creativity and its virtues

I have to say, today has been one of those days where you think "Could this day get any worse?"
And for the first time in a long time i battled through the negative energy and strived to really make magic happen for my evening shoot.
Tonight i worked at the house of some friends on some promotional shots and images for their EP release "Two Of Mankind" an undeniably talented duo, also from Lincoln, a duo setting the bar pretty high for music in our ever growing city.
Luckily for me they hired me for the job.
So i took my backdrop, i took my tripod, i took my flashgun and i took my positive energy and off i went.
With only a few ideas in mind we let the shoot flow and the outcomes were that of another worldly, phsycadelic yet completely natural feel.
With inspiration from The Beetles, Tame Impala and the work of Dan Mountford i put a dark twist on my own multiple exposures of the band.

Here is a few ideas of what we caught.. Check out my Facebook page for more up to date news....www.facebook.com/LucyButlerPhotography
And also take a look at Two of Mankind while your there i know you will love it.. you can't not!https://www.facebook.com/pages/Two-Of-Mankind/
